Open the silver clamp by turning the thumbscrew until it is open all the
way. Place the clamp around the umbrella pole. Use the thumbscrew to tighten the clamp around the pole until you see the metal band come through the side opposite the thumbscrew.

Slide the Drinkaddie onto the umbrella pole with the U-shaped collar
facing down. Make sure the U-shaped collar is firmly pressed against the umbrella pole.

Slide the clamp up to meet the Drinkaddie and position the clamp around the U-shaped collar, against the pole. Position the thumbscrew on the open side of the U-shaped collar. Tighten the thumbscrew on the clamp until it fits tightly against the pole. When positioned correctly, Drinkaddie will stay in place when gently pressing down on it with your hand.
